Wooden Structures

From as far back as I can remember, I have been drawn to places of spiritual expression. The many Romanesque churches visited during my youth in France, the Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba in Andalusia, and the Great Buddha at Kōtoku-in in Kamakura, Japan, are just a few of my reference points.

The impetus for creating these “Interior Spaces” comes from the experience of these particular places, and other places that have inspired me — allowing these small structures to symbolically hold all that cannot be fully expressed in verbal language.
